Brie | Provo Utah Maternity Photographer

25 September 2012

At last, I finally have a moment to blog these images from my fun maternity session with my friend Brie!  She worked it for the camera effortlessly and really was such a beautiful mama-to-be!  She welcomed her baby girl last week and I couldn't be more excited for them.  I can't believe how big Rusty is getting too- he has grown so much since the last couple sessions I've had with their family!

Maternity sessions are seriously some of my favorites.  I remember thinking back to my pregnancies and thinking how loooong they seemed to last.  But in retrospect, they were over in a blink of an eye!  I had maternity portraits done with both of my pregnancies and I absolutely treasure them.  This is such a great thing for mamas-to-be to consider investing in!  It can be purchased alone (as a mini-session- a great value!) or added to a newborn session package.  I know, this is kind of a shameless plug... but seriously, what an incredible opportunity.  Every mother deserves to have beautiful photos like this to show her children one day!  What a treasure to have as the years go on and the baby days are a memory of the past.

Without further ado... enjoy my favorite images from Brie's session!

Lavender Girls | Utah Child Photographer

16 September 2012

Summer is already coming to a close and I am still blogging photos from early in the summer!  I will catch up, eventually.  This past summer was crazy for us and I didn't do a whole lot of photographing... but one thing I did do was get out and photograph my two little cuties a few months ago.  I have known about the Mona lavender farm for a while now and I have been dying to get out and take some photos there while it was in full bloom.  Unfortunately, this summer was so hot and dry that the color left a bit to be desired.  But it was still beautiful and it made a great backdrop for our photos!

Any photographer who has children can attest to the fact that their own kids are the hardest to photograph!  I think it's just because they are used to that darn camera capturing every little event in their lives.  Hence, what was supposed to be a quick session turned into a drawn out chase.  Can't blame 'em... I'm sure it was very freeing to run up and down the rows.  :)  I love the ones that turned out and a few of them are already printed big on my walls!
