Today's post features the sweet Dorman family!  I really enjoyed my time with them during their session.  The kids did great and were so cooperative, despite the chilly breeze we dealt with during their session.  What an honor it was to make these new memories for them!  I also loved the amazing fall colors up the canyon.  We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful state!

What I've been up to...

Hello, blog land!  I haven't checked in for a while.  Chalk it up to a usual busy fall season and all of the other fun things I've been enjoying with my family this past month.  I love this time of year!!  What about you??  I've been sharing a few sneak previews over on my Facebook page, but here they are for you non-Facebookers.  (Go  head over and "like" my page if you haven't yet, so you can keep up with the latest!)

Calvin -- 8 months old | Utah Baby Photographer

I can't believe how the time flies!  I've had the wonderful opportunity of photographing Calvin as a newborn and now at 8 months old (of course he's even older now... I'm a little behind on blogging!).  It is always such a joy to see my littlest "clients" grow up.  I have the best job.  Calvin's sweet family has come to me several times for photos over the years and it is an incredible honor to be able to make these memories for them.  I am so lucky to know such great families like his!

This age range of 6-8 months is seriously my favorite.  It is perfect because they can sit up, they can't crawl away from you just yet, and they think absolutely everything is fun and entertaining.  :)  They can't help but flash all those sweet gummy grins and stare up at you with their big eyes.  Calvin was no exception... he was so incredibly sweet the whole time.  He has the most amazing brown eyes and is just such a sweet and mellow kid.  Without further ado, enjoy this cute little guy!

Lavender Girls | Utah Child Photographer

Summer is already coming to a close and I am still blogging photos from early in the summer!  I will catch up, eventually.  This past summer was crazy for us and I didn't do a whole lot of photographing... but one thing I did do was get out and photograph my two little cuties a few months ago.  I have known about the Mona lavender farm for a while now and I have been dying to get out and take some photos there while it was in full bloom.  Unfortunately, this summer was so hot and dry that the color left a bit to be desired.  But it was still beautiful and it made a great backdrop for our photos!

Any photographer who has children can attest to the fact that their own kids are the hardest to photograph!  I think it's just because they are used to that darn camera capturing every little event in their lives.  Hence, what was supposed to be a quick session turned into a drawn out chase.  Can't blame 'em... I'm sure it was very freeing to run up and down the rows.  :)  I love the ones that turned out and a few of them are already printed big on my walls!
